Winter in Ötztal
Winter holidays in the Ötztal. Peak of Tyrol.
Winter in Ötztal is a dream in white and has much to offer: snowy mountains, fresh mountain air, well prepared slopes, snow-covered winter hiking trails, sled runs and much more.
Very close to our house are the ski regions of Sölden (2,5 km) or Obergurgl-Hochgurgl (10 km) and the mountain climber village Vent. Sölden and Obergurgl can be reached by the free ski shuttle. Thanks to the glacier in Sölden and the altitude of Obergurgl-Hochgurgl the Ötztal guarantees snow from November to April. The different slopes are suitable for beginners and well-advanced skiers. Don't forget to stop for a little break in one of the quaint ski huts.
For peace seekers we recommend a visit to Vent. If you want to relax in the evening we suggest to visit the Freizeit Arena Sölden or the Thermal Spa Aqua Dome Längenfeld.
Only a few minutes' walk away from our house is the access point to the cross-country ski trail which allows a complete new perspective of the winter landscape of Sölden. Furthermore many winter foot paths (also suitable for snowshoe tours) are very close to our house. Sled fans can certainly look forward to cruise down of the sled runs in Sölden and Obergurgl-Hochgurgl which are lighted by night.
